Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work View of a village road with a well by a church by Simon de Vlieger was sold in the Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours auction at Christies in London in July 2018. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,511.44), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Simon de Vlieger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dutch frigates exchanging salutes in a calm, with yachts, a rowing boat, a sloop carrying personnel, and fishermen on the shore in July 2011 with an auction result of GBP 1,553,250.00 (€ 1,782,586.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit View of a village road with a well by a church von Simon de Vlieger wurde im Juli 2018 in der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.511,44) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Simon de Vlieger erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dutch frigates exchanging salutes in a calm, with yachts, a rowing boat, a sloop carrying personnel, and fishermen on the shore im Juli 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.553.250,00 (€ 1.782.586,75).
