Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Cityscape with swans in the lake by Sigrid Hjertén was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in November this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 175,000.00 – 200,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 160,000.00 (€ 14,052.07). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sigrid Hjertén achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Iván i fåtöljen" (Iván in the armchair) in November 2018 with an auction result of SEK 8,700,000.00 (€ 844,414.02).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Cityscape with swans in the lake von Sigrid Hjertén im November diesen Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 175.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 160.000,00 (€ 14.052,07) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sigrid Hjertén erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Iván i fåtöljen" (Iván in the armchair) im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 8.700.000,00 (€ 844.414,02).
