This artwork by Sigmund Joseph Menkes achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in July 2019. In the Impressionist and Modern Art Online auction, the work Still Life With Flowers And Bowl On A Table sold for USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,477.09) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sigmund Joseph Menkes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nu, 1924 in October 2011 with an auction result of EUR 71,173.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sigmund Joseph Menkes erzielte im Juli 2019 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Online wurde die Arbeit Still Life With Flowers And Bowl On A Table für USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.477,09) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sigmund Joseph Menkes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nu, 1924 im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 71.173,00.
