Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rydal Water by Sidney Richard Percy was sold in the British and European Art auction at Christies in New York in July this year. The price achieved of GBP 15,120.00 (€ 17,640.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sidney Richard Percy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cader Idris, North Wales in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 73,875.00 (€ 84,415.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Rydal Water von Sidney Richard Percy wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion British and European Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.120,00 (€ 17.640,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sidney Richard Percy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cader Idris, North Wales im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 73.875,00 (€ 84.415,06).
