Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Loading the cart by Sidney Goodwin was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2004. The price achieved of GBP 478.00 (€ 722.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sidney Goodwin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rowing ashore, which sold at auction in May 2000 for GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,885.44).

Für andere Arbeiten von Sidney Goodwin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rowing ashore beobachtet, die im Mai 2000 für GBP 1.175,00 (€ 1.885,44) versteigert wurde.
