The work San'enzan Zōjōji zu (Mount San'enzan Zōjōji Temple) by Shôtei Hokuju was auctioned at Bonhams in March this year. It achieved a price of USD 2,040.00 (€ 1,876.38), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 36%. Admittedly, works by Shôtei Hokuju have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ôban, yoko-e in December 2017 with an auction result of EUR 18,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 36 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit San'enzan Zōjōji zu (Mount San'enzan Zōjōji Temple) von Shôtei Hokuju kam im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 2.040,00 (€ 1.876,38) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 36%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shôtei Hokuju auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ôban, yoko-e im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 18.600,00.
