The »bidding war« ended at EUR 7,500.00 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Shirley Jaffe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Whirling Dervish Ou Indian Flight - 1986 in December 2014 with an auction result of EUR 58,840.00.

Die Arbeit East Meets West von Shirley Jaffe wurde im April 2011 in der Auktion The BAT Artventure Collection Formerly Known as the Peter Stuyvesant Collection, Part Two bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 7.500,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shirley Jaffe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Whirling Dervish Ou Indian Flight - 1986 im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 58.840,00.
