Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2011 Christies in Dubai held the auction Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish ArtPart II, which included the work Girls in Car 2 by Shirin Aliabadi. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,170.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shirin Aliabadi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Miss Hybrid # 4 in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 55,000.00 (€ 35,328.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish ArtPart II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Girls in Car 2 von Shirin Aliabadi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.170,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shirin Aliabadi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Miss Hybrid # 4 im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 55.000,00 (€ 35.328,88).
