Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art / Arab & Iranian, which included the work Miss Hybrid 1 by Shirin Aliabadi. The price achieved of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,295.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shirin Aliabadi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Miss Hybrid # 4, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 55,000.00 (€ 35,328.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art / Arab & Iranian durch, in der auch die Arbeit Miss Hybrid 1 von Shirin Aliabadi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.295,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Shirin Aliabadi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Miss Hybrid # 4 beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 55.000,00 (€ 35.328,88) versteigert wurde.
