Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2013 Christies in Dubai held the auction Modern and Contemporary Arab,Iranian and Turkish Art Part II, which included the work (i) Eye Want to Dance (II) Eye Want to Forget You by Shirin Aliabadi. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,195.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shirin Aliabadi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Miss Hybrid # 4, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 55,000.00 (€ 35,328.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2013 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab,Iranian and Turkish Art Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit (i) Eye Want to Dance (II) Eye Want to Forget You von Shirin Aliabadi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.195,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Shirin Aliabadi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Miss Hybrid # 4 beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 55.000,00 (€ 35.328,88) versteigert wurde.
