Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Shirazeh Houshiary could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Passion + Transmission: International Contemporary Art from the CAP Collection auction, the work Poem changed hands for USD 37,500.00 (€ 29,260.30) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shirazeh Houshiary have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Door in October 2012 with an auction result of USD 158,500.00 (€ 122,318.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shirazeh Houshiary konnte im März 2013 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Passion + Transmission: International Contemporary Art from the CAP Collection wechselte die Arbeit Poem für USD 37.500,00 (€ 29.260,30) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shirazeh Houshiary auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Door im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 158.500,00 (€ 122.318,26).
