This artwork by Shinkichi Tajiri achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Amsterdam in October 2011. In the The BAT Artventure Collection formerly known as The Peter Stuyvesant Collection – Part Three auction, the work Warrior sold for EUR 16,250.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shinkichi Tajiri - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Guerrier - Warrior, which sold at auction in October 2012 for EUR 58,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shinkichi Tajiri erzielte im Oktober 2011 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The BAT Artventure Collection formerly known as The Peter Stuyvesant Collection – Part Three wurde die Arbeit Warrior für EUR 16.250,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Shinkichi Tajiri mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Guerrier - Warrior beobachtet, die im Oktober 2012 für EUR 58.600,00 versteigert wurde.
