Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Shinkichi Tajiri achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2016. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction, the work Fortress sold for EUR 25,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shinkichi Tajiri - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Guerrier - Warrior, which sold at auction in October 2012 for EUR 58,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shinkichi Tajiri erzielte im November 2016 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Fortress für EUR 25.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Shinkichi Tajiri mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Guerrier - Warrior beobachtet, die im Oktober 2012 für EUR 58.600,00 versteigert wurde.
