The work Don Quichotte by Shinkichi Tajiri was sold in the Art Contemporain auction at Sothebys in Paris in December 2012. It achieved a price of EUR 8,750.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25 %. Admittedly, works by Shinkichi Tajiri have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Guerrier - Warrior in October 2012 with an auction result of EUR 58,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Don Quichotte von Shinkichi Tajiri wurde im Dezember 2012 in der Auktion Art Contemporain bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 8.750,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shinkichi Tajiri auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Guerrier - Warrior im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 58.600,00.
