In April 2011 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work Mao With A Woman by Shi Xinning. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 350,000.00 (€ 30,416.30), 40% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Shi Xinning have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mao And Mccarthy in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 372,000.00 (€ 278,151.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Im April 2011 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mao With A Woman von Shi Xinning zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 350.000,00 (€ 30.416,30) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shi Xinning auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mao And Mccarthy im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 372.000,00 (€ 278.151,64).
