Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mao and McCarthy by Shi Xinning was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2011. The price achieved of HKD 860,000.00 (€ 76,931.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 700,000.00 – 1,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shi Xinning - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mao And Mccarthy, which sold at auction in March 2007 for USD 372,000.00 (€ 278,151.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mao and McCarthy von Shi Xinning wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 860.000,00 (€ 76.931,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 700.000,00 – 1.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Shi Xinning mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mao And Mccarthy beobachtet, die im März 2007 für USD 372.000,00 (€ 278.151,64) versteigert wurde.
