Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Loquat Flowers in Bloom by Shi Lu. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 36,136.71) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shi Lu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lotus in Splashed Ink in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 9,700,000.00 (€ 1,059,768.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Loquat Flowers in Bloom von Shi Lu zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 36.136,71) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shi Lu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lotus in Splashed Ink im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.700.000,00 (€ 1.059.768,64).
