This artwork by Shi Lu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December this year. In the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction, the work Fragrant Lotuses sold for HKD 529,200.00 (€ 61,234.50) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shi Lu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lotus in Splashed Ink in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 9,700,000.00 (€ 1,059,768.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 76 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shi Lu erzielte im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings wurde die Arbeit Fragrant Lotuses für HKD 529.200,00 (€ 61.234,50) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 300.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shi Lu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lotus in Splashed Ink im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.700.000,00 (€ 1.059.768,64).
