Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Start of the Boat Race at Putney Bridge by Sherree Valentine Daines. The price achieved of GBP 3,187.50 (€ 3,560.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sherree Valentine Daines - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Forever Cherished, which sold at auction in December 2018 for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,533.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Start of the Boat Race at Putney Bridge von Sherree Valentine Daines zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.187,50 (€ 3.560,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Sherree Valentine Daines mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Forever Cherished beobachtet, die im Dezember 2018 für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.533,50) versteigert wurde.
