Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Sheng Maoye achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2006. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Winter Forest sold for HKD 66,000.00 (€ 6,629.32) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sheng Maoye achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Saying Farewell In The Moonlight in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 75,000.00 (€ 66,737.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sheng Maoye erzielte im Mai 2006 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Winter Forest für HKD 66.000,00 (€ 6.629,32) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sheng Maoye erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Saying Farewell In The Moonlight im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 66.737,85).
