Auction result misses estimated price range
In September this year a collector was able to acquire the work Two Geese Playing in the Water, 1984 by Shen Yaochu for HKD 16,640.00 (€ 2,007.68). This price was achieved in the auction Chinese Paintings-The Online sale at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of HKD 20,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shen Yaochu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Auspicious Chickens in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 35,585.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Two Geese Playing in the Water, 1984 von Shen Yaochu für HKD 16.640,00 (€ 2.007,68) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Chinese Paintings-The Online sale bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shen Yaochu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Auspicious Chickens im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 35.585,55).
