Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Temptation Series No. 4 by Shen Xiaotong was sold in the The Ullens Collection - The Nascence of Avant Garde China auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2011. The price achieved of HKD 68,750.00 (€ 5,974.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shen Xiaotong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work No. 18 in May 2007 with an auction result of HKD 480,000.00 (€ 45,705.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Temptation Series No. 4 von Shen Xiaotong wurde im April 2011 in der Auktion The Ullens Collection - The Nascence of Avant Garde China bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 68.750,00 (€ 5.974,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shen Xiaotong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit No. 18 im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 480.000,00 (€ 45.705,79).
