Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Land of Happiness No. 1 by Shen Xiaotong was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 223,500.00 (€ 18,399.97). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shen Xiaotong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work No. 18, which sold at auction in May 2007 for HKD 480,000.00 (€ 45,705.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Land of Happiness No. 1 von Shen Xiaotong wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 223.500,00 (€ 18.399,97) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Shen Xiaotong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit No. 18 beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für HKD 480.000,00 (€ 45.705,79) versteigert wurde.
