Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Elegance Of Bamboo by Shen Shijia. The price achieved of HKD 63,000.00 (€ 6,977.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shen Shijia have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape After Tang Poetry in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 529,200.00 (€ 58,613.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Elegance Of Bamboo von Shen Shijia zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 63.000,00 (€ 6.977,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shen Shijia auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape After Tang Poetry im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 529.200,00 (€ 58.613,21).
