A top price for Shen Shi
When the work Pheasant, Sparrows and Mynah on a Snow-Covered Tree by Shen Shi was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2011, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 400,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at HKD 1,340,000.00 (€ 119,869.23). This high result makes Pheasant, Sparrows and Mynah on a Snow-Covered Tree the most expensive artwork by Shen Shi that we have observed at auctions so far.

Als die Arbeit Pheasant, Sparrows and Mynah on a Snow-Covered Tree von Shen Shi im Mai 2011 bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches.
