The work Peonies by Shen Shi was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2017. It achieved a price of USD 52,500.00 (€ 49,074.59), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shen Shi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pheasant, Sparrows and Mynah on a Snow-Covered Tree, which sold at auction in May 2011 for HKD 1,340,000.00 (€ 119,869.23).

Die Arbeit Peonies von Shen Shi kam im März 2017 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 49.074,59) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Für andere Arbeiten von Shen Shi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pheasant, Sparrows and Mynah on a Snow-Covered Tree beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für HKD 1.340.000,00 (€ 119.869,23) versteigert wurde.
