Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Flowers And Rock by Shen Shi for HKD 47,800.00 (€ 4,815.25). This price was achieved in the auction FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shen Shi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pheasant, Sparrows and Mynah on a Snow-Covered Tree in May 2011 with an auction result of HKD 1,340,000.00 (€ 119,869.23).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Flowers And Rock von Shen Shi für HKD 47.800,00 (€ 4.815,25) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shen Shi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pheasant, Sparrows and Mynah on a Snow-Covered Tree im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.340.000,00 (€ 119.869,23).
