Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Shen Qin could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction, the work Courtyard changed hands for HKD 32,000.00 (€ 3,799.09) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shen Qin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in Song Style in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 48,742.67).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shen Qin konnte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Courtyard für HKD 32.000,00 (€ 3.799,09) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shen Qin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape in Song Style im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 48.742,67).
