Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Dim by Shen Hanwu. It changed hands for a price of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 17,337.22) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 80,000.00 – 160,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shen Hanwu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Descendants Of The Dragon in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,480,000.00 (€ 137,649.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dim von Shen Hanwu zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 17.337,22) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 160.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shen Hanwu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Descendants Of The Dragon im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.480.000,00 (€ 137.649,60).
