The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,250.00 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sheila Hicks achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Soft Stone Fiber Sculpture Orange. in June this year with an auction result of EUR 66,000.00.

Die Arbeit Untitled (Design For Book Cover) von Sheila Hicks wurde im April 2013 in der Auktion The Piet and Ida Sanders Collection bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.250,00 und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sheila Hicks erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Soft Stone Fiber Sculpture Orange. im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 66.000,00.
