Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Potato Picking At Aigle Ghyll, I by Sheila Fell was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2012. The price achieved of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,478.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sheila Fell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Haystacks in Winter, which sold at auction in November 2020 for GBP 37,750.00 (€ 42,141.74).
