Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Farmland At Aspatria by Sheila Fell was sold in the Modern & Post-War British Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2012. It changed hands for a price of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,858.86) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sheila Fell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Haystacks in Winter, which sold at auction in November 2020 for GBP 37,750.00 (€ 42,141.74).

Die Arbeit Farmland At Aspatria von Sheila Fell wurde im November 2012 in der Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.858,86) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sheila Fell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Haystacks in Winter beobachtet, die im November 2020 für GBP 37.750,00 (€ 42.141,74) versteigert wurde.
