Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Shannon Ebner could be acquired at Sothebys in London in November 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Milk Double Horizon changed hands for GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,702.72) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shannon Ebner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Incendiary Distress Signals, which sold at auction in July 2020 for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,461.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shannon Ebner konnte im November 2017 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wechselte die Arbeit Milk Double Horizon für GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.702,72) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Shannon Ebner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Incendiary Distress Signals beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.461,70) versteigert wurde.
