This artwork by Shangguan Zhou achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2007. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Spring Trip sold for HKD 120,000.00 (€ 11,426.45) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Shangguan Zhou; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A Lesson in the Afternoon sold at auction in November 2010 with the realized price of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 18,525.62).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shangguan Zhou erzielte im Mai 2007 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Spring Trip für HKD 120.000,00 (€ 11.426,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Shangguan Zhou; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit A Lesson in the Afternoon im November 2010 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 18.525,62).
