Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape by Shangguan Zhou was sold in the The Beauty of Brushes – A Selection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy 4 auction at POLY in May 2018. The price achieved of HKD 3,540.00 (€ 386.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 2,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shangguan Zhou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Lesson in the Afternoon in November 2010 with an auction result of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 18,525.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape von Shangguan Zhou wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion The Beauty of Brushes – A Selection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy 4 bei POLY versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 3.540,00 (€ 386,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 2.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shangguan Zhou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Lesson in the Afternoon im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 18.525,62).
