Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Pier at Night by Shang Rui. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 60,000.00 (€ 5,950.11), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shang Rui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscapes After Yuan Masters in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 2,200,000.00 (€ 268,699.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2013 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pier at Night von Shang Rui zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 5.950,11) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shang Rui erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscapes After Yuan Masters im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.200.000,00 (€ 268.699,11).
