Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape After Tang Yin by Shang Rui was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. The price achieved of HKD 237,500.00 (€ 27,145.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shang Rui have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscapes After Yuan Masters in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 2,200,000.00 (€ 268,699.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape After Tang Yin von Shang Rui wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 237.500,00 (€ 27.145,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shang Rui auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscapes After Yuan Masters im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.200.000,00 (€ 268.699,11).
