Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Phillips in 17 - held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction, which included the work Tesha by Shaina McCoy. It changed hands for a price of USD 16,510.00 (€ 14,981.85) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shaina McCoy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Baubles, Barrettes & Beads in May last year with an auction result of USD 81,900.00 (€ 76,320.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Phillips in 17 - die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tesha von Shaina McCoy zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 16.510,00 (€ 14.981,85) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shaina McCoy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Baubles, Barrettes & Beads im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.900,00 (€ 76.320,94).
