Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (From The Miss Butterfly Series) by Shadi Ghadirian for USD 3,500.00 (€ 2,701.03). This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art Part II at Christies in Dubai and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shadi Ghadirian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Like Everyday in April 2010 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,191.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (From The Miss Butterfly Series) von Shadi Ghadirian für USD 3.500,00 (€ 2.701,03) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art Part II bei Christies in Dubai erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shadi Ghadirian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Like Everyday im April 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 28.191,25).
