It achieved a price of USD 17,500.00 (€ 13,155.92), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shadi Ghadirian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Like Everyday, which sold at auction in April 2010 for USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,191.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Two Works From The Series Be Colourful von Shadi Ghadirian wurde im April 2010 in der Auktion International Modern & Contemporary Art, Including Masterpieces from The Collection of Dr. Mohammed Said Farsi bei Christies in Dubai versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 13.155,92) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Für andere Arbeiten von Shadi Ghadirian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Like Everyday beobachtet, die im April 2010 für USD 37.500,00 (€ 28.191,25) versteigert wurde.
