This artwork by Sha Qi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2014. In the 20th Century Chinese Art auction, the work Still Life sold for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 37,202.60) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sha Qi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Horses In The Forest, which sold at auction in April 2014 for HKD 1,480,000.00 (€ 137,649.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sha Qi erzielte im April 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art wurde die Arbeit Still Life für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 37.202,60) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sha Qi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Horses In The Forest beobachtet, die im April 2014 für HKD 1.480.000,00 (€ 137.649,60) versteigert wurde.
