A top price for Sha Qi
This artwork by Sha Qi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2014. In the 20th Century Chinese Art auction, the work Horses In The Forest sold for HKD 1,480,000.00 (€ 137,649.60) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00. This high result makes Horses In The Forest the most expensive artwork by Sha Qi that we have observed at auctions so far.
