Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Floral Still Life by Severin Roesen was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 34,375.00 (€ 25,286.89). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Severin Roesen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life With Fruit In A Landscape in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 769,000.00 (€ 494,215.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Floral Still Life von Severin Roesen im Oktober 2013 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 34.375,00 (€ 25.286,89) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Severin Roesen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life With Fruit In A Landscape im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 769.000,00 (€ 494.215,94).
