Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Disidentification Program by Seth Price for GBP 35,000.00 (€ 40,565.08). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Seth Price achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cheap Wall in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 449,000.00 (€ 408,404.58).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Disidentification Program von Seth Price für GBP 35.000,00 (€ 40.565,08) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Seth Price erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cheap Wall im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 449.000,00 (€ 408.404,58).
