Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work On the Veranda by Sergei Sudeikin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,410.00 (€ 5,138.80) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sergei Sudeikin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two Panels for the Cabaret Prival Komediantov in Petrograd in June 2021 with an auction result of GBP 680,500.00 (€ 792,959.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit On the Veranda von Sergei Sudeikin zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.410,00 (€ 5.138,80) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sergei Sudeikin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Two Panels for the Cabaret Prival Komediantov in Petrograd im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 680.500,00 (€ 792.959,40).
