The work Russian reflection by Sergei Shablavin was sold in the Contemporary East auction at Sothebys in London in June 2016. The result of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 7,201.96) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sergei Shablavin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Russian Winter, 1981 in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 67,000.00 (€ 43,037.00).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Russian reflection von Sergei Shablavin wurde im Juni 2016 in der Auktion Contemporary East bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 7.201,96) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sergei Shablavin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Russian Winter, 1981 im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 67.000,00 (€ 43.037,00).
