Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Portrait Of A Lady At Her Toilette by Sergei Petrovich Ivanov was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 18,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,063.14). Admittedly, works by Sergei Petrovich Ivanov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of two young girls with dolls in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 31,700.00 (€ 44,388.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady At Her Toilette von Sergei Petrovich Ivanov im Juni 2011 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.063,14) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sergei Petrovich Ivanov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait of two young girls with dolls im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 31.700,00 (€ 44.388,20).
