Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Group Of Twelve Nude Studies by Sergei Petrovich Ivanov was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,130.76) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sergei Petrovich Ivanov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of two young girls with dolls, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 31,700.00 (€ 44,388.20).
