In the Russian Pictures auction, the work Beggars At The Monastery Gates sold for GBP 162,500.00 (€ 184,461.67) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 90,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sergei Arsenievich Vinogradov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View Of The Pechera Monastery, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 513,300.00 (€ 718,752.80).
