This artwork by Serge Rezvani achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in July 2008. In the Abstract & Contemporary Art auction, the work Composition, 1957 sold for EUR 3,718.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Serge Rezvani; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Composition, 1949 sold at auction in December 2007 with the realized price of EUR 7,435.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Serge Rezvani erzielte im Juli 2008 bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Abstract & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Composition, 1957 für EUR 3.718,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Serge Rezvani; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Composition, 1949 im Dezember 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 7.435,00.
